After two games on the road, Hill School is heading back home. They will take on the Lawrenceville School Big Red at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Hill School is ranked 17th in Pennsylvania, while Lawrenceville School is ranked 26th in New Jersey).
Even though Pennington scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, Hill School still came out on top. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Hill School made off with a 59-58 win over Pennington.
Hill School relied on the efforts of Lily Soller, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Sammie Faella, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. Lilly Hebert was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Lawrenceville School, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-41 loss to Mercersburg Academy on Saturday. Lawrenceville School has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hill School's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Lawrenceville School, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-9.
Hill School was able to grind out a solid win over Lawrenceville School when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 67-59. Will Hill School repeat their success, or does Lawrenceville School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
