The Bay School is 1-9 against the Jaguars since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bay School Breakers will head out on the road to take on the International Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as The Bay School comes in on three and the Jaguars on four.
Even though The Bay School has not done well against the Wolverines recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bay School took down the Wolverines 47-29. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but The Bay School was the (much) better team in the second half.
In what's become a running theme this season, International gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They breezed by Jewish Community on the road to the tune of 48-21. Given International's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 554th, while the Wolves are ranked 1125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The Bay School's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for International, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
The Bay School didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Jaguars when the teams last played two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 37-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for The Bay School since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
