Yuba City is 9-1 against River Valley since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Yuba City will host River Valley at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Yuba City has seven straight wins, River Valley has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Yuba City gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over Twelve Bridges.

The team relied heavily on Brandon Pelechowicz, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam O'Leary, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for River Valley's offense. They came up short against Roseville on Friday, falling 14-0. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly 14 runs.

Yuba City pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

River Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Yuba City hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. It's a different story for River Valley, though, as they've only averaged .211. Will they be able to contain Yuba City's hitters?

Everything went Yuba City's way against River Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Yuba City made off with a 10-0 win. Will Yuba City repeat their success, or does River Valley has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
