Meanwhile, MAST Community Charter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 62-17 victory over Mercy Career & Technical. With MAST Community Charter ahead 38-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
It was another big night for Rylie Fitzsimmons, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyleigh Murphy, who scored nine points along with five assists and two steals.
Faith Christian Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. As for MAST Community Charter, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Faith Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over MAST Community Charter in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 48-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Faith Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
