The Kewaskum Indians will take on the Ozaukee Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kewaskum will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
On Friday, Kewaskum was able to grind out a solid victory over Chilton, taking the game 6-1.
Landon Scheel looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kewaskum got a massive performance out of Levi Whitfield, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Whitfield has posted since back in April. Kingston Grisolono was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Ozaukee's offense. They came up short against Port Washington on Friday, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Ozaukee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Schroeder, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Ozaukee dropped their record down to 4-17 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Kewaskum, their win bumped their record up to 17-6.
Ozaukee's pitching crew better be locked in on Tuesday. Kewaskum hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. It's a different story for Ozaukee, though, as they've been averaging only 0 home runs. Will they be able to keep Kewaskum in the park?
Everything went Kewaskum's way against Ozaukee in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Kewaskum made off with an 18-4 victory. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
