Hardaway has gone a perfect 7-0 against Spencer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hawks will challenge the Greenwave at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Hardaway's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
On Tuesday, Hardaway made easy work of Sumter County and carried off a 15-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.

Jeremy Williams was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Kevin Williams and Ryan Rodriguez did most of the damage at the plate: Kevin went 2-for-3 with eight stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Rodriguez got on base in all four of his plate appearances with seven stolen bases and three runs. Rodriguez has become a key player for Hardaway: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Samuel Bufford, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
Hardaway kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Spencer was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 17-2 to Columbus. The defeat continues a trend for the Greenwave in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost six in a row.
Spencer's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Hardaway, their record is now 10-12.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hardaway has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .488. However, it's not like Spencer struggles in that department as they've averaged .470. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Hardaway's way against Spencer when the teams last played back in March, as Hardaway made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
