Jenkins' hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Wednesday: Treutlen hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Treutlen's pitchers stepped up to hand Montgomery County a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Jack Walker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Treutlen's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Kylan Page was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Acie Dickens, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Treutlen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montgomery County only posted a batting average of .176.
Meanwhile, Jenkins won against Groves on Thursday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Jenkins put the hurt on Johnson with a sharp 17-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won four matchups in a row.
Ronald Dunham made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Charlie Stuart was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquis Bush, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Jenkins' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Treutlen, their record now sits at 8-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Treutlen has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Jenkins struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
