After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chino Hills, the Elsinore Tigers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 44-31 win over Hemet. For Elsinore, this counts as revenge for the 45-28 defeat Hemet walked away with the last time they faced one another on January 3rd.
It was another big night for Ashirah Williams, who scored 14 points along with four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Iree Mativa, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Elsinore's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Hemet, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 11-8.
Elsinore will take on Vista del Lago at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Vista del Lago has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 13. As for Hemet, they will head out on the road to square off against Canyon Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Canyon Springs is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
