The Adelanto Saints lost against the Hesperia Scorpions back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Adelanto was beaten by the Scorpions 66-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Adelanto has scored all season.
It was another big night for Berlynn Miramontes, who scored 32 points along with seven rebounds and six steals for Hesperia. Annabel Sanchez was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Adelanto's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Hesperia, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.
Adelanto will head out on the road to square off against the Jackrabbits at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Victor Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 962nd, while the Saints are ranked 478th). As for Hesperia, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
