The Jeannette Jayhawks lost against the Riverview Raiders back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Jeannette lost to Riverview on the road by a decisive 28-13 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jeannette has scored all season.
Jeannette's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adriana Allison, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. Navarah Smith was another key contributor, scoring three points along with 13 rebounds.
Riverview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lily Bauer led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isabel Chaparro, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.
Jeannette now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Riverview, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Jeannette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Riverview also has no future games currently scheduled.
