Despite the loss, Stanton County still got an impressive performance from Arhim Gonzalez, who rushed for 230 yards and three scores, and also picked up 70 receiving yards and one touchdown. Gonzalez also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making seven total tackles (1.0 for loss). Stanton County also got a significant boost from Sean Hines, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.
The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 6-2. As for Reno County HomeSchool, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
