The Washington Prexies waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 32-23 victory over Carmichaels. That's another feather in the cap for Washington, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Washington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaprice Johnson out in front who scored nine points along with six steals. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Teyler Barnes, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Washington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Carmichaels, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-15.
Washington will take on the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Carmichaels, they will head out on the road to take on the Commodores at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Frazier is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
