The Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They skirted past Chester 38-35.
Several Clippers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Imani Dorsey, who scored 11 points along with 5 steals. Jordan Dennis was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
Marple Newtown's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Chester, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marple Newtown will take on Pottsgrove at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chester, they will be playing at home against Phoenixville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
