Clearfield was led to victory by Mia Helsel and Sonny Diehl. Helsel scored 23 points along with six rebounds, while Diehl dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. The game was Diehl's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Hannah Glunt was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists.
Philipsburg-Osceola lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Khendyl Sharrer, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Sharrer is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddy Malinich, who scored 13 points.
Clearfield now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Clearfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellwood-Antis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they will head out on the road to face off against Penns Valley Area at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Penns Valley Area is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
