The Math Civics & Sciences Mighty Elephants gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They strolled past Philadelphia Electric Charter with points to spare, taking the game 34-16.
Among those leading the charge was Jabriyah Gibbs, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Robinson, who scored six points.
Math Civics & Sciences' win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-0. As for Philadelphia Electric Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Math Civics & Sciences will head out on the road to face off against Girard Academic Music Program at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Philadelphia Electric Charter will be home for the holidays to greet High School of the Future at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
