After a string of three wins, the Dundy County-Stratton Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. The matchup between them and Southern Valley wasn't particularly close, with Dundy County-Stratton falling 57-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dundy County-Stratton in their matchups with Southern Valley: they've now lost five in a row.
Dundy County-Stratton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clara Spargo, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Schneider, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Dundy County-Stratton's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-11. As for Southern Valley, they pushed their record up to 23-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
