Oakmont had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Nevada Union Miners 5-1. With the Vikings ahead  3-0 at the half, the  matchup was all but over already.
 They hit Nevada Union with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from 
 Gracie Grant (2), 
 Devyn Chambers, 
 Izabella Barragan Reidt,  and 
 Sydney Miller.
 Having lost for the first time  this season, Nevada Union  fell to 1-1-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakmont will host St. Francis  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Nevada Union, they will take on Golden Sierra in a tournament  on Saturday.
