Everything came up roses for Denfeld against Hibbing on Friday as the squad secured a 51-8 win. Denfeld were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast. The matchup brought Denfeld to 4-3 and dropped Hibbing to a mirror-image 3-4.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Denfeld take on Grand Rapids at 7:00 PM. Grand Rapids are limping into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Hibbing, they will face off against Duluth East. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
