Andrew Harkins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Georgia School for Innovation & Classics put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Westside 11-5. Fans of Georgia School for Innovation & Classics have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Tyler Crapps made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Crapps was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
In other pitching news, Fisher Storey looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Tristen Norris was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Bryson Smith, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
