The Foothill Mustangs suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were outmatched by West Campus at home and fell 73-12. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Foothill in their matchups with West Campus: they've now lost four in a row.
Maryssa Arnold was Foothill's leading scorer, having posted five points.
West Campus got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Leilani Edinburgh out in front who scored 23 points. Edinburgh hasn't dropped below 15points for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Esabel Otsuji, who scored 19 points.
Foothill has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for West Campus, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Foothill will take on Cordova at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cordova has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for West Campus, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Natomas at 6:00 p.m. Natomas will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 927th, while West Campus is ranked 317th).
