The Segerstrom Jaguars can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 61-32 win over Katella. The win was familiar territory for Segerstrom who now have four in a row.
Stephanie Valenciano was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Valeria Quero was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Segerstrom has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Katella, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.
Segerstrom will be playing at home against Godinez Fundamental at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Godinez Fundamental focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. As for Katella, they will head out on the road to take on Ocean View at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Ocean View is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
