The Franklin County Seahawks will head out to face off against the Blountstown Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin County will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Franklin County had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 21-run drubbing they dealt Crossroad Academy on Friday. Everything went Franklin County's way against Crossroad Academy as Franklin County made off with a 22-1 win. That 21 run margin sets a new team best for the Seahawks this season.

Chason Martina made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
In other pitching news, Brennan Cook looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Sadiq Jones was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Franklin County is undefeated when Jones posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Brody Johnson was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2.
Franklin County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Blountstown suffered their closest loss since April 9, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Maclay by a score of 6-4.
Blountstown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Roberts, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Franklin County pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Blountstown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Blountstown's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Franklin County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .452. It's a different story for Blountstown, though, as they've only averaged .353. Will they be able to contain Franklin County's hitters?
Franklin County beat Blountstown 9-5 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Franklin County since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
