The Kingsland Knights put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past Lanesboro 46-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Kingsland, who have now won eight contests by 25 points or more so far this season.
Beau Wiersma continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 194 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. Wiersma was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards. Sam Howard made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Kingsland's win was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-8 Lanesboro and 1-8 Lanesboro (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 32% over those games). As for Lanesboro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Kingsland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lanesboro is also done with their season.
