The Neumann-Goretti Saints entered their tilt with Nazareth Academy with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Neumann-Goretti was the clear victor by a 77-52 margin over Nazareth Academy. Neumann-Goretti has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neumann-Goretti to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carryn Easley, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Easley continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amya Scott, who scored 19 points along with six assists.
Neumann-Goretti's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Nazareth Academy, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Neumann-Goretti will head out on the road to challenge Archbishop Wood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nazareth Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Hubert Catholic for Girls at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Hubert Catholic for Girls is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
