The Blair County Christian Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Clearfield Alliance Christian by a score of 32-30. Blair County Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Clearfield Alliance Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2016.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lydia Hileman, who scored four points along with 14 rebounds and nine blocks. Hileman is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Gabi Dull was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Blair County Christian bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.3 points per game. As for Clearfield Alliance Christian, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blair County Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Great Commission at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Clearfield Alliance Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Johnstown Christian at 5:30 p.m. on February 6, 2024.
