After flying high against Narrows  on Thursday, Eastern Montgomery came back down to earth. The Mustangs lost  3-0 to the Bland County Bears on Monday. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won  3-0.
 Eastern Montgomery was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Bland County work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17,  27-25.
  Alysia Lopez was the offensive standout of the  matchup as she  had 12  digs. That's the most  digs  she has posted since back in September of 2024.  Raine Mutter also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  digs of the season.

 Looking ahead, Eastern Montgomery will welcome Parry McCluer  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Bland County, they will venture away from home to  take on Giles  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
