Brookstone is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will host the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings at 3:15 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Brookstone barely beat Shaw the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Brookstone blew past Shaw 12-2 on Wednesday. Considering the Cougars have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

 Brennan Neal
| 03/12/25 @ Shaw | 3 |
| 03/11/25 @ Central | 1 |
| 03/08/25 vs Terrell Academy | 3 |
| 03/07/25 @ Tiftarea Academy | 1 |
| 03/06/25 @ Marion County | 3 |
The team relied heavily on Brennan Neal, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gray Jones, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Brookstone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, St. Anne-Pacelli can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 9-3 margin over Abbeville Christian Academy. The Vikings not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 27th.
Hunter Hall and Billy Smith dominated on the mound. Hall tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Smith struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave Hall a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
On the hitting side, Jihran Gomilla was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Braden Hudson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Brookstone is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. St. Anne-Pacelli now has a winning record of 7-6.
St. Anne-Pacelli's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Brookstone hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. It's a different story for St. Anne-Pacelli, though, as they've only averaged .254. Will they be able to contain Brookstone's hitters?
Brookstone couldn't quite get it done against St. Anne-Pacelli when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Will Brookstone have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
