Alec Ortega was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Landon Peterson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Lodi got themselves on the board against West on Friday, but West never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Wolfpack. Considering the Flames have won five matchups by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Bryce Meehleis made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dalton Waites, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Noah Hufford was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Lodi always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .526 or higher in three consecutive games.
Liberty Ranch's record now sits at 10-4. As for Lodi, their record is now 7-4.
