Athens won the last time they faced Canton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Athens Wildcats enjoyed a cozy 47-33 win over the Canton Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Canton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cailyn Vannoy, who posted 12 points and three steals. Vannoy has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last nine times she's played. Kendall Kitchen was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Athens' victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Canton, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-6.

Athens has already played their next matchup (against Charles O. Dickerson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Canton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-24 defeat against Towanda on the 23rd.
