Highland has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Ridgeview Wolf Pack at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Highland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1211th, while Ridgeview is ranked 491st).
Highland suffered their biggest defeat since November 13, 2023 on Thursday. They were outmatched by Bakersfield Christian at home and fell 70-6. Highland has not had much luck with Bakersfield Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Ridgeview can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-38 victory over Independence. The victory was just what Ridgeview needed coming off of a 67-31 loss in their prior contest.
Kenadi Walton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Alyse Brooks was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Highland bumped their record down to 3-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.5 points per game. As for Ridgeview, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Highland was dealt a bruising 63-22 defeat at the hands of Ridgeview when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Highland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
