The Pomona Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 44-32 to St. Lucy's. That's two games in a row now that Pomona has lost by exactly 12 points.
It was another big night for Kira Carroll, who scored 19 points along with four steals for St. Lucy's. That's the first time this season that Carroll scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Danika Mejico, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and six blocks.
Pomona bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.7 points per game. As for St. Lucy's, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
Pomona will head out on the road to face off against Garey at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Lucy's and Tournament Opponent will face off on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
