Megan Schmidt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 21 consecutive appearances.

Montgomery County also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Addison Cannon gave up only one earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits.
On the hitting side, Reese Hill made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple and one stolen base.
North Callaway's victory bumped their record up to 21-10. As for Montgomery County, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. North Callaway has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Montgomery County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
