The Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights will play host again and welcome the Bucktail Bucks, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Neumann Regional Academy put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against Northwest Area as Neumann Regional Academy made off with a 57-37 win.
Neumann Regional Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was GiGi Parlante out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Parlante hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for 14 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzie Weller, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
Even though Bucktail has not done well against the Mountaineers recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bucktail walked away with a 39-30 victory over the Mountaineers.
Neumann Regional Academy's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Bucktail, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Neumann Regional Academy strolled past the Bucks in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 55-40. Will Neumann Regional Academy repeat their success, or do the Bucks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
