Sandusky is a perfect 5-0 against Capac since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the Chiefs at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Sandusky's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 20-0 margin over Memphis. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Jack Betts made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Gavin Phillips was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bryce Kiley, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Sandusky always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Memphis only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, Capac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-11 heartbreaker at the hands of Brown City. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Like Sandusky, Capac also got a great game from a two-way player: A Howard. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. That's the fewest earned runs Howard has allowed since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, B Tesnow was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. J McGeorge was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Sandusky pushed their record up to 23-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Capac, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.
Both Sandusky and Capac just can't seem to miss. The Wolves have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Capac struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Sandusky's way against Capac in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Sandusky made off with a 16-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
