The Los Altos Eagles will challenge the Leland Chargers at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Los Altos made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Branham, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Los Altos was the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Branham on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Eagles have posted since April 3, 2024.
Darrion Wesley and Emmett Heath were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Wesley pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Heath pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, Wesley gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. At bat, Wesley went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI, while Heath scored a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, Heath posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Aaron Baum was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kai MacQuiddy, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Leland put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against Willow Glen. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chargers have posted since April 23, 2024.
The team relied heavily on William Hendricks, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Canter, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
The win made it two in a row for Los Altos and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Leland, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
