After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hickory Ridge, the Concord Spiders were happy to have found some success on Friday. They slipped by Carson 61-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jeremiah Howard was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 23 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. Jaden Reid was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Concord's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Carson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Concord will head out on the road to face off against Cox Mill at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cox Mill is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Carson, they will be playing at home against Robinson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
