The Concord Spiders (Concord, NC) basketball nipped the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), 61-60 in Friday's league test.

The Spiders (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Cox Mill (Concord, NC). The Chargers go into the non-league test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, Cox Mill got by Hough (Cornelius, NC), 93-61, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Robinson for a 3A South Piedmont test on Tuesday, December 5. Carson will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 77-61 non-league loss to Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-1.
