North Carolina High School Basketball - East Rowan overwhelmed by Carson
January 24, 2024: Salisbury, NC 28146 The Carson Cougars basketball team scored 88 points and restricted the host East Rowan Mustangs to 53 in the Cougars league victory on Wednesday.
The Cougars now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Cabarrus for a 3A South Piedmont contest on Friday, January 26. Carson will battle a Vikings team coming off a 88-19 league win over South Rowan (China Grove, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 18-0.
The Mustangs (2-15) will now prepare for their contest against West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Falcons come into the 3A South Piedmont contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, West Rowan triumphed over A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC), 60-48, in a non-league contest.
