Mapleton is 1-9 against Western Reserve since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mapleton Mounties will be playing in front of their home fans against the Western Reserve Roughriders at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Mapleton earned a 40-31 victory over Northmor. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mapleton.
Meanwhile, Western Reserve scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Wednesday. They strolled past Lucas with points to spare, taking the game 45-29.
Mapleton's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8. As for Western Reserve, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.
Everything went Mapleton's way against Western Reserve when the teams last played back in January as Mapleton made off with a 42-17 victory. Does Mapleton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Western Reserve turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
