The Mapleton Mounties basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Western Reserve Roughriders to 29 in the Mounties league triumph on Friday.

The Mounties now sport a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Central for a Firelands contest on Thursday, February 15.

The Roughriders (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Huron (Huron, OH). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 6-13 record. In their last contest, Huron was defeated by Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, OH), 51-18, in a non-league contest.
