Ohio High School Basketball - South Central tops Mapleton
January 12, 2024: Ashland, OH 44805 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the South Central Trojans (Greenwich, OH) and the host Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH), saw South Central's basketball squad knock off Mapleton by a count of 57-47.
With the victory, South Central upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Plymouth (Plymouth, OH) to play the Big Red in a Firelands challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Big Red come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. Plymouth won 34-23 in their recent league challenge against Western Reserve (Collins, OH)
Next up, the Mounties play the Monroeville Eagles (Monroeville, OH) in a Firelands challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Mapleton will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 50-47 league loss to New London (New London, OH).
