The West Catholic Burrs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Cardinal O'Hara, falling 64-37. West Catholic has struggled against Cardinal O'Hara recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Burrs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ciani Scott, who scored 11 points. Ciana Blake was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
West Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Cardinal O'Hara, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Catholic will take on Archbishop Ryan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Archbishop Ryan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 381st, while West Catholic is ranked 125th). As for Cardinal O'Hara, they will be playing at home against Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
