Archer extended their winning streak to six on Wednesday, bumping them up to 11-1. Everything went their way against the Rockdale County Bulldogs as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Apollo Bailey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bailey was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other pitching news, Eli King looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, Archer got a big performance out of Kaleb Watkins, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs Watkins has posted since back in February of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Cummings, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Archer kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rockdale County only managed two.
As for Rockdale County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Rockdale County's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Woullard, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.
Coming up, Rockdale County will square off against Meadowcreek at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.67 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. Archer will be paying especially close attention to Rockdale County's matchup: after Rockdale County faces off against Meadowcreek, they'll take on Archer again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
