Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close game.
Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They were given a punishing 7-56 defeat at the hands of Jackson County Central.
Meanwhile, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last week, as they fell 18-22 to Redwood Valley.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies that hunger and which team leaves with an empty belly.
