After losing to the Trinity Hillers the last time they met, the Chartiers Valley Colts decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Chartiers Valley snuck past Trinity with a 48-43 win on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chartiers Valley.
Rachel Boehm was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 15 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Iyla Ozbey, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Chartiers Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Trinity, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-3.
Chartiers Valley will head out on the road to challenge Canon-McMillan at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Canon-McMillan is on a five-game streak of home wins, Chartiers Valley a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Trinity will take on Lincoln Park Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Park Performing Arts will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
