Baseball Recap: Calvary Day Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Calvary Day barely beat Metter the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Calvary Day never let Metter get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Wednesday. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Max Arnold, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since March 1st. Carter Hampton was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Calvary Day pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Metter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Calvary Day will venture away from home to challenge Long County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Metter, they will welcome Jenkins County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
