The Dunmore Bucks couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. Their rough 55-30 defeat to Conestoga on Saturday might stick with them for a while.
Conestoga found their leader in underclassman Ryann Jennings, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Janie Preston, who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds.
Dunmore's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Conestoga, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dunmore will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mid Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. As for Conestoga, they will be playing at home against Haverford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
