For the second straight game, King's Academy will face off against Carlmont. The Knights are taking a road trip to  take on the Scots  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.

 Toby Trotter was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with four  RBI and two  doubles. Those  doubles were  his first of the season.
 Trotter wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Ethan Johnson, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.  James Barboza also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Carlmont and  bumps their season record up to 7-9. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for King's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
