Baseball Recap: Northeast Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dodge County, Northeast was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 19-16 win over the Baldwin Braves. With that victory, the Raiders brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Zekendall Williams was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Durham, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Northeast was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .447. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Northeast's record is now 8-15. As for Baldwin, their record now sits at 6-15.

Coming up, Northeast will face off against East Laurens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Baldwin, they will take on West Laurens at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: the Raiders will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's game.
