The Upper Merion Area Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Boyertown Bears at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Boyertown took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Upper Merion Area, who comes in off a win.
Upper Merion Area scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Upper Perkiomen, posting a 80-53 win at home. The victory was some much needed relief for Upper Merion Area as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Boyertown lost to Perkiomen Valley at home by a decisive 64-49 margin on Tuesday.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Trey Kern, who scored 13 points. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Braedyn Johnson, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
Upper Merion Area's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Boyertown, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Upper Merion Area and Boyertown were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, but Upper Merion Area came up empty-handed after a 46-45 loss. Can Upper Merion Area avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
